Yesterday, many partners and users of Hewlett-Packard received an newsletter, which I was not very happy. In fact HP notifies that since February 2014 changed the procedure for access to updated firmware and drivers included in the HP Service Pack for ProLiant so that now access these files on a Web site HP Support Center is available to customers only having a valid support agreement or active package HP CarePack, associated with the specific equipment.
Currently with HP Support Center website can still download the driver and SPP for HP ProLiant Servers (for example, for ProLiant DL 360/380 G5), but on the download page already hanging warning:
So recommend for all HP ProLiant Server customers, without the active support in the near future download the latest firmware update CD for your ProLiant system.
Also it is not clear what the future will be the case with the possibility of automatic updates to Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM).
